The ALGINAGRAFT™ Solution
From Loose Particles to an Engineered Graft Composition
ALGINAGRAFT™ is designed to incorporate bone graft particles within an alginate-based hydrogel matrix, creating a cohesive graft composition capable of maintaining the particles together during handling and placement.
Instead of manipulating individual loose graft particles, the clinician can work with an organized graft composition designed for controlled delivery into the recipient site.
The encapsulated structure is intended to combine the regenerative properties of selected bone graft materials with the handling characteristics of an engineered biomaterial matrix.
The technology may potentially be manufactured in different shapes, dimensions, volumes, and graft compositions according to the intended clinical application.
How ALGINAGRAFT™ Works
1. Bone Graft Component
Selected bone graft particles form the primary regenerative component of ALGINAGRAFT™.
Depending on the formulation and intended application, the technology may potentially accommodate different types or combinations of bone graft materials.
2. Alginate-Based Hydrogel Encapsulation
Bone graft particles are incorporated into or encapsulated by a biocompatible alginate-based hydrogel matrix.
The matrix is designed to provide cohesion between particles while creating a hydrated environment surrounding the graft material.
3. Three-Dimensional Graft Structure
Encapsulation transforms loose particulate material into an organized three-dimensional graft composition.
The resulting structure is designed to improve handling while allowing the graft to adapt to the geometry of the recipient site.
4. Controlled Placement
The ALGINAGRAFT™ composition can be positioned within the prepared surgical defect or augmentation area.
The objective is to provide controlled placement while reducing unintended movement and dispersion of individual graft particles.
